I am upgrading my nicad drill to lithium.
I bought this:

Turns out 1 of the batteries i got was bad. looking at the date on the battery itself, it is 6 years old. (i forgot to test it before breaking it open.)

connecting the charger adapter, no sign of life. batteries have 0volts. if i replace the batteries should the electronics work as normal? I ask before i take the plunge and buy just batteries.
