Hello, New here so this is my first post/question.
I have some photography studio lights with battery packs. One of the packs won’t take a charge. It will show it has 12 volts but if I connect it to anything the voltage drops to under 10v immediately.
I have tried unsuccessfully to get a replacement battery pack for it at a price I can afford. They only want to sell the complete kit with a charger, the pack with terminals into which the battery pack fits, and also a canvas carrying bag into which the whole battery pack fits.
I took the battery apart and found there are 10 cells in it all interconnected. The pack is labelled 3000mah but one of the cells inside the pack is labelled 3300 mah.
The following 4 photos of the opened battery show the cells.
I’m wondering if anyone might have a method for replacing those cells or somehow restoring the battery.
I did manage to get it to charge about a month ago by connecting it to a 12v car vacuum and running it until the vacuum totally stopped. Then it finally took a charge. Now however the charger light goes from red to green far too soon and it just doesn’t seem to charge properly at all.
Thanks in advance for any advice that can be provided.
