Hello everyone,

I am new here. I am using a bms for the first time on a 8s lifepo4 pack after watching videos about it on youtube and reading a lot of positive reviews. the bms in question is the deligreen as shown in the following link https://www.ebay.fr/itm/164692580570?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=464200948259&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
Everything seems to be working fine except for charging it keeps showing -xx.x amp so I thinks it thinks it is discharging even though the voltage is going up. as a result, the balancing does not trigger at the set voltage neither does the overvoltage protection.
Does anybody have any experience with this brand?
Am I doing something wrong?

First of all, if your charging current shows a negative number, it does not mean that it is continuously discharging. You need to check whether the cable you soldered is wrong, or you use the computer software to read the data, it may be that the data setting is wrong. Secondly, when you set parameters on the Bluetooth app, all parameters are second-level protection by default, which is difficult to trigger. My suggestion is to set your balance voltage to 3.2v to turn on, it is difficult to quickly balance the voltage after the bms of this brand exceeds 3.6v, and the overcharge protection is set to 3.75v

YipDamon Hi, I just came across your answer while searching for a solution to the same problem. I have used several Daly BMS’s so this isn’t a setup issue.
My problem is that the BMS shows a negative number when it is charging and while discharging shows a whole number. I have two batteries in parallel each with its own Daly BMS and before the recent Smart BMS update this was merely confusing when switching between the two and remembering when one is showing a discharge it is actually charging.
Now however, with the new app update when showing the sum of the two BMS’s I don’t get an accurate charge or discharge number displayed, as I’m assuming the negative and positive numbers cancel out to some degree…
After reading some forums it was suggested that a parameter was made negative in error but the error wasn’t found until after release.
Can you advise me if there is a way to correct the faulty BMS?
