Hi All! New to the forum and I’m working on building my first battery pack. I dived right in and ordered 300 cells in laptop batteries for recovery. I am slowly working my way through testing the cells, and I am coming across large amounts of variation in their capacities. (1200-3400mAh). My question is; may I use different numbers of batteries per “cell” to even out capacities. For example: Cell 1 has 2 18650s with 3000mAh capacity for a total of 6000mAh, Cell 2 has 3 18650s with 2000mAh capacity for a total of 6000mAh. In theory, this seems reasonable but I’m looking for input to see whether this is ok or not. Thanks in advance!
