First, I want to thank the users on this site for sharing their tremendous knowledge. I know zero about batteries and trying to do some research. I’ve learned more after reading these posts than hours searching the web. Thank You!
I do still have a few questions about these if anyone could offer some expertise. The only markings I could find were: “Made In Sweden”, “HI 8” , “NIFE” and “AN or NV” (Upside down?)

- I’m assuming these are Edison type NIFE Batteries, but since they are marked made in sweden (where original inventor was from), are they still made by the Edison Company?
- In the condition that they are in, could they still be recharged in your opinion, or worth trying?
- Can anyone tell me what the HI 8 and AN or NV mean?
