Hi, I’m new here and I figured this would be the best place to ask the following question: I am trying to build a little solar setup on a shoestring budget that would require in the ballpark of about 20-30Ah of battery capacity. Since the interconnections are USB based I figured that a regular powerbank would work fine.
Here’s where I run into problems though, because while in the name of cheapness I’m fine with shoddy chinese knockoffs, unreasonable bulk, and a fire hazard, I do actually need the capacity to be over 20000mAh. While there are powerbanks in the range of 10-20$, these also worryingly often claim capacities of 100000mAh for devices that fit into your palm. Unless pocket sized cold fusion has become a cheap industry standard while I wasn’t looking, these can be safely labelled fake. However, most of the listings are similar. This in turn makes me doubt the veracity of the items that are actually plausible.
Does anyone know any ultracheap shoddy powerbanks that actually have that high a capacity? Or maybe what 18650 batteries have the best Ah/$ value, if I were to build my own?
Thanks in advance. 😁
