Why don’t 18650 or any cylindrical li-ion cell have more than 1 tab for the main terminals ? Could it help reduce the Internal resistance if there are more tabs along the length of the roll. Tesla 4680 is cool, but doubt other manufacturers can implement it simply given IP rights and whatever. If yes, than any theory as to why manufacturers are not adopting more tabs.
