I own a classic car with 6V electric and in my country, 6V batteries are no longer manufactured or marketed.
Given that, I am not willing to convert to 12V or use stepdown Electronic Buck Converters;
A non-technical friend of mine told me that the top of the plastic casing of a 12V 45Ah Exide battery was removed and the internal connections of the cells were “paralleled” to give 6V at the terminals (perhaps, yielding 90Ah).
Does it make sense? Is this do-able??
Thanks in advance for your valuable insights please,
