I am building a system to reduce my grid power usage. I am planning on mixing some wind and solar, but i am trying to find the best way to get the most amphours out of the system. At first i was thinking 12v 280ah run 4 in series giving 48v 280ah and then parallel 4 strings giving me 48v 1120ah. but then i got to thinking why cant i parallel the 4 12v 280 giving me 12v 1120ah per string then series 4 strings giving me 48v 4480ah(I believe this is a mistake as only the voltage adds up not the ah). I realize this will result is longer charge times unless i can charge with more power which is where the wind comes in i am looking at a 7kw wind turbine with a controller that outputs 48v. but are there issues with what i am thinking are there safety issues and are there ways to confront those issues
