large scale portable battery cell system?

I see that ebikes have a portable slide in battery cell system and I was wondering if there’s a larger scale portable system that works similar to this or even what it might be officially called. The idea being you have a charging station for the batteries/cells at one location then physically take the battery to another location and then back and forth.
