I have a Qualcast strimmer that uses a 36v lithium battery. The battery appears to be faulty and I have been unable to locate a replacement (ABP136LZ).
The symptom is that although the battery appears to be fully charged, showing an open circuit voltage of 36v, under load (attached to the strimmer or a dummy load of three 12v car bulbs in series) the terminal voltage drops to zero. On re-checking the OC voltage it’s back to 36v.
Before I start opening the battery, I thought I’d ask here for any suggestions or advice, for which I would be grateful.
