I am working on a BMS and I’m stuck at conceptualizing how to design for high current. The design will work with multiple Slave BMS + a Master BMS. The max voltage/current is projected to be 800V/1200 A. Current is increased by adding in parallel. I can get the voltage to the 800V I need, but the current is a bit troubling just thinking how many cells I would have to stack in parallel. I know there is a way to handle such high current:

  • I was thinking stack the Cell Mgmt IC in parallel to get the current, then stack stacked Cell Mgmt IC in series to get the voltage.

Any thoughts?

yes,we have made this high votlage bms by connecting many battery packs in series and racks in parallel.
