Hi All, wondering if anyone can help. I have TWO LCB Lithium Batteries : LIT48140BT/140AH 48VDC. However they were shipped without any instruction manuals of or guides. And I cannot find an internet resource to get the manuals.

I am new to this forum, but I have been trolling the internet for exactly the same info for LCB branded batteries. I have the spec, the manual but NOTHING for the BMS. Closest I’ve got is that it is RS485 CAN-BUS. I am now busy building a break-out box and also aquiring a RS485 2 USB adapter so that I can communicate with the battery.
There is very little out there regarding these batteries. The company seems to be in Taiwan with factory in Vietnam. I have mailed them but I get no reply but the mail does reach them.
The battery has been in service for about a month and there is nothing wrong with the battery itself. The technology is brand-new, the battery reponds correctly to charge / discarge cycles, reports errors correctly etc.
It is however difficult to control with a Lead/Acid charger setup. The SOC curve is very flat.
If you know how to post documents on this forum, let me know, then we can exchange ideas.

I am helping another retired couple, who have bought these and without the manual I do not know how to connect two of these batteries, to set the master / slave, and then what comms cable is required for the inverter? The retailer did not tell them how to install, and they assumed the Lithium’s work like flooded batteries. . . the current set up is damaging the batteries!
I am pretty good at Pylons, but this brand is strange that the BMS appears to be set on the batteries each?
Any help will really be appreciated.

I bought one of these batteries. Price was good, but no manual or any information to install. Did you manage to get them installed correctly? Any information would be appreciated.

TopProp - we have had quite a discussion about these batteries between GrahamMcIntyre , myself and some others on e-mail. The problem was that we could not post manuals on this forum. If you give me additional information I will try to help. I have been researching this since Dec 21 and have finished my installation. I have also been in contact with some other installers who have actually installed these.
The full story has become quite wordy - I suggest you also look at some other posts on this forum and the sun power forum, you will find some more comments there - Then, look at the GITER batteries and tell me what you see.

Speaking only for myself - I was misled by a unscrupulous website that has since disappeared and left me to fight my own battles.

I have been posting the LCB battery manual to quite a few OP’s and decided to scan the internet for batteries that seem to have the same front face characteristics.
I found a manul for the GITER 2.5 KwH battery and except for the name change in the document, the manuals are identical. I would appreciate any input on this.

This manual can be found on the website of any supplier that sells Giter batteries. As I pointed out earlier in this chain. The manual is identical.

Hi. I Bought about 10 x LCB 7.2kW Battery’s over the last 3 months for me and some friends. I had 3 that failed. 2 with BMS failures and one that smoke came out off. I exchanged them Yesterday and bought another 3 battery’s but 2 the problems again with the BMS failure. All the battery’s looks like they came out of the war and they were freshly Painted. The whole exchange was very sketchy out of a storage facility.
The ones that is working is working well but I am also struggling to get the communication to work with my Dye Inverters. I found a manual for a UFO battery that looks exactly the same but it didn’t help help me at all.
Can you please include me in sending me the Manual please?
